Congressional Art Competition at Pickens County Library
March 13-27, Pickens County Library will host the 43rd annual Congressional Art Competition with a formal reception on March 27th. Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent within each Congressional District. Congressman Barry Loudermilk will invite high school students within District 11 to showcase their artistic talents at our library.

Sequoyah-Con: Disney! at Pickens County Library
Join us Saturday, March 16 at Pickens County Library for a Disney themed Sequoyah-Con! With programs for all ages such as Pick Your Sidekick: Petting Zoo, DIY Mouse Ears, and a Jedi Training Academy, there's something for everyone at Sequoyah-Con!

Friends of the Pickens County Library
The Friends of the Pickens County Library have gently used books available for purchase any time the library is open! The board members of Friends of the Pickens Library stock the shelves and collect the case and check from the black box near the book display. You can also pay using your credit card and the QR code. The Friends of the Pickens County Library bookshelf is located inside the Pickens County Library.

LEGO Lab
March 6, 4:00 PM

Join us for LEGO Lab at Pickens County Library! This is a fun and creative activity for after school. LEGO Creations will be used to help to decorate our library! Children must be accompanied by an adult. This event will be held March 6th at 4:00pm.

How to Pay for College: Financial Aid Information from Chattahoochee Tech
March 7, 5:00 PM

Interested in college, for yourself or your teens, but don't know where to start? Stop by the Pickens County Library for a free financial aid resources class brought to you by Chattahoochee Technical College.

Plants and Paints
March 8, 3:00 PM

Let the March Winds bring in Spring Splendor! Join the Pickens County Master Gardeners at our Pickens County Library for a fun and informative "Plants and Paint" session. You will learn how to attract pollinators to your 2024 garden. Then, you will design, draw and paint a beautiful symbol of Spring for your garden just as the winds begin to retreat. Registration is required as supplies are limited.

Pop-Up Storytime
March 12, 10:00 AM

Join us at Lee Newton Park in Jasper for a Pop-up Library and a storytime! Our storytimes support early literacy with books, songs, and fingerplays. After the storytime, stay for our Pop-Up Library to get a new card, return your books, or borrow new ones! No registration is required. All children must be accompanied by a participating adult.

March 20, 10:30 AM

Family Storytimes are designed for families with children of all ages. This program features stories, singing, dancing, fingerplays, and crafts. Children must be accompanied by a participating adult.

BINGO with Friends!
March 22, 10:00 AM

B-I-N-G-O! All are invited to stop by the Pickens County Library for a fabulous game of BINGO! Winners will receive Bookstore Bucks to our Friends of the Library Book Sale!

Reading Dog Visit
March 26, 4:00 PM

On Tuesday March 26th, sign your child up to read to our Reading Dog, Baron, for 15 minutes in a stress-free environment to help grow confident reading. Registration is required. Time slots run between 4:00-5:30pm. Registration is required.

Dungeons and Dragons 5e
March 28, 5:00 PM

Calling all Adventurers! Your campaign awaits. Whether this is your first game or you're a seasoned player, join us at the Pickens County Library for a One Shot! Dungeons & Dragons players of all ages are welcome but please keep in mind that this program may be too advanced for younger children. Registration Required, stop by Pickens County Library or email moores@seqlib.org for more information.
